CNC Mill and/or Lathe Set Up/Operator/Programmer (Full-time, Day and Night shifts)

Job Description:

  • Produce the highest quality parts made to exacting specifications.
  • Design and make work holding fixtures for machining operations.
  • CNC programming, setup, and operation experience including familiarity with G & M codes, setting tool registers, offsets, tool compensation, and conditional switches.
  • Setup jobs and edit CNC programs with the goal of optimizing the manufacturing process to reduce cycle-time and setup time while maintaining part accuracy.
  • Interpret and understand part drawing specifications, materials, reference planes, locations of surfaces, and machining parameters; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
  • Inspect and verify dimensions of the workpiece for conformance to specifications using measuring instruments such as templates, micrometers, dial indicators, and gauge blocks.
  • Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; adjusting controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have own tools.
  • Needs to be Self-motivated.
  • Demonstrate safe and quality driven work habits
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow 5S standards
  • CAD/CAM experience using Autodesk, FeatureCAM, PartMaker, MasterCam a plus.
